Who is responsible for your data
The C4E Collective (“C4E”, “we”) operates this site and decides how your data is used. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies we are the data controller. Where India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies we are the Data Fiduciary. We work with clients and suppliers in many countries, so more than one of these may apply to you.

What we collect
When you send an enquiry
The enquiry form asks for your name, company, email, phone, event type, city, approximate dates, headcount and your message. You choose what to fill in. Name and email are the only required fields. We also store the time of submission and the IP address the form was sent from, which is a spam control.
When you read the site
Our analytics record the pages you visit, the page that sent you here, your approximate location by city, device type, browser and language, and how long you stayed. This is aggregated. We do not use it to identify you by name.
Server logs
Our host records IP address, timestamp, requested URL and user agent for every request. These are security and troubleshooting records, held by the host and rotated on their schedule.
We do not collect financial data on this site. We do not sell data. We do not run advertising or advertising pixels. There is no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag and no advertising retargeting on wearec4e.com.
Cookies and similar technology
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. Here is what this site sets and why.
Strictly necessary
- WordPress session and preference cookies (
wordpress_*,wp-settings-*,wordpress_test_cookie). Set only if you log in to the site as an editor. Visitors who do not log in never receive these. - LiteSpeed Cache may set a short-lived cookie to serve the right cached version of a page. It carries no personal data.
These cannot be switched off without breaking the site, and under GDPR they do not require consent.
Analytics
- Google Analytics 4 via Google Site Kit, measurement ID G-ENTPT4FP9T. Sets
_gaand_ga_<id>, which last up to two years and distinguish one browser from another. - IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage. We have analytics switched off for logged-in users.
- We do not enable Google Signals, advertising features, or cross-device ad reporting.
Turning cookies off
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Google publishes an opt-out add-on for Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect anything you can do on this site.
Why we are allowed to use it
Under the EU and UK GDPR
- Contract, Article 6(1)(b). Answering your enquiry and quoting for an event.
- Legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f). Keeping the site secure, preventing spam, and understanding which pages are read. We have weighed this against your rights and kept the data minimal.
- Consent, Article 6(1)(a). Analytics cookies where your jurisdiction requires consent. Withdraw it any time through your browser.
Where the DPDP Act, 2023 applies
We process your personal data for the lawful purpose you gave it for: to respond to your enquiry about an event. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing saurabh@wearec4e.com, and withdrawal is as easy as giving consent was.
Who else sees it
- Hostinger, our hosting provider, stores the site and its database.
- Google LLC processes analytics and Search Console data.
- Our email provider carries the enquiry to our inbox and our reply to you.
- Delivery partners for a specific event, when you become a client and a venue, hotel or supplier needs your details to deliver what you booked. We share the minimum required and only for that event.
We never sell your data, rent it, or hand it to a data broker.
Where it goes
Our servers, our team and our analytics providers operate across several countries. Where data leaves the UK or the EEA, transfers rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Where the DPDP Act applies, we do not transfer personal data to any territory restricted by the relevant government.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: 24 months, then deleted.
- Client records: for the life of the engagement plus 8 years, which is the longest retention our tax and company law obligations require.
- Analytics: 14 months at Google, then aggregated.
- Server logs: on our host’s rotation, typically 30 days.
Your rights
If the GDPR applies to you
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the EU it is the authority for your country.
If the DPDP Act applies to you
As a Data Principal you have the right to a summary of the personal data we hold and how we process it, the right to correction, completion, updating and erasure, the right to nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated, and the right to a grievance redressal process before you approach the Data Protection Board of India.
How to exercise any of it
Email saurabh@wearec4e.com with the word PRIVACY in the subject. We reply within 7 days and resolve within 30. If you are not satisfied, our Grievance Officer is Saurabh Garg at the same address, and you may then escalate to your supervisory authority or the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
This site sells corporate event management to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Under the DPDP Act we do not process children’s data for tracking, behavioural monitoring or advertising. If you believe a child has sent us data, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Administrative access uses individual accounts and application-scoped credentials rather than shared passwords. Backups are held by our host. No system is perfect, and we will tell affected people and the relevant authority if a breach puts your data at risk.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top. Material changes get a notice on the homepage for 30 days.
